A Study On The Ethnic Relation In The Perspective Of Taxi Drivers In Changji

The relations of ethnic groups play a signifinificant role in the study of ethnology.Among different periods,regions,and ethnic groups,ethnic groups relations are showed different characteristics.The study of ethnic groups relations also reflects the political,economical,cultural,and social aspects of a particular region.Academia ave made multiple and comprehensive research on ethnic relations.However,this article start from the point of taxi drivers.It attempts to discover a new manifestation of ethnic relations through surveys of taxi drivers.This paper selected Changji City as a field investigation point,taked the taxi driver as the entry point.Guided by Marxist Ethnology Theory,and the method of field investigation,expert interview and literature,the paper analyzes the view of ethnic groups relations and influence from Changji taxi driver.This paper covers five major parts.First part mainly introduces the history and ethnic population of Changji City.The second part introduces the management of the taxi industry in Changji City,including the basic conditions of the urban and rural passenger traffic management office and taxi companies.The third part discusses the factors influenced the national relationship of taxi drivers.Through interviews,it is concluded that the government institutional factors,economic factors,cultural factors and living pattern affecting the changji ethnical relationship.The fourth part is about the role of taxi drivers in the national interaction.Through the analysis of the role of taxi drivers,the analysis of communication and the interaction between taxi drivers,that considered to have an important influence on the ethnic relations.The fifth part is based on the taxi driver as a medium to build a harmonious urban ethnic groups relations to propose.The taxi drivers play an important part of the promotion of ethnic relations.It need government agencies,taxi companies,taxi drivers,passengers in all to make concerted efforts to play Taxi driver's media role.
