On November 29,2015,the twenty-first meeting of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change was held in Paris,France.After nearly half a month of negotiations and consultations,the following month 12,the parties eventually agreed on the content of Climate Conference in Paris.The achievements of the conference are mainly presented in the Paris Agreement(hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement")with international legal effect.To show bear mission and historical responsibility as a climate power,China had submitted responsible emission reduction targets to the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention(hereinafter referred to as the "Convention")in the first five months before the Paris Climate Conference.However,we should clearly recognize that the targets set by the Paris Agreement are specific and urgent,making good on the promise of domestic climate change mitigation and China's commitment to greenhouse gas emissions under the Paris Agreement is arduous and long due to the domestic conditions and international reality.Starting with the background,the main achievements and the influence on China of the Paris Agreement,this paper analyzes the great challenges of China's commitment under the Paris Agreement in the post-Paris era.In the final chapter,the paper combines with the challenges of climate change mitigation in China,puts forward the corresponding countermeasures,and points out that China should draw lessons from the typical countries and regions' measures taken by the legislation on climate change mitigation,and make efforts to build low-carbon and efficient modern energy system,in addition to speeding up the internalization of the Paris Agreement as the domestic legislation,and actively participating in global climate governance and international rule of law system construction.
