To Improve Interpersonal Self-efficacy With Low Vision Disabled In Case Social Work Service

It is important that the low vision disabled people,as part of the social vulnerable groups,are getting more attention,which is also the reflection of the development of the society.Recent years,their living conditions are getting improved through relevant policies issued by the government and the help from growing number of NGOs.The weak self-efficacy is the common problem faced by low vision disabled people and self-efficacy plays a critical role for them in integrating into the society through interacting with others,which shows the importance for strengthening their self-efficacy.After literature review,this study implements observation and interviews.In the light of the self-efficacy and social support theory,the study chooses the case study method.This thesis includes 5 chapters.The first chapter gives the reason for the topic,the potential contribution of the topic and literature review.The second one introduces the research content,research method,research tools and the processes.The third chapter shows the background information of the case and the estimate demand of the self-efficacy in interpersonal communication for the target.The fourth chapter is about the processes for the case study.After getting the agreement with the target regarding the plan,the study starts to implement the plan.There are 7 interventions in the plan: 1,getting the basic information of the target and build up relationship for further research.;2,knowing the status quo of interpersonal communication of the target and his or her feeling,cognition and evaluation;3,exploring the reason behind the successes and failures and strengthening the confidence;4,analyzing the vicarious experience of the target,improving the evaluation for the abilities and his or her for communication;5,figuring out the role for “speech persuasion” in the interpersonal communication experience,asking help and encouragement from the family and trying to improve the initiative for communication;6,shaping the good mood and body state through relaxation training as well as getting the confidence;7,reviewing the plan,consolidating the change and drawing the conclusion.The fifth chapter concludes the research process and reviewing the processes of preparation,intervention,evaluation phases.Then offering the suggestions from individual,family and society level for improving the self-efficacy of low vision disabled people and promoting their development in the future.
