The border area has special geography and humanistic environment,which is with the critical situation.The armed police shoulder the responsibility for antiterrorist and maintenance of stability.The special profession and environment seriously threaten the mental health of the armed police.Mental fatigue has become a problem that cannot be ignored.In order to keep armed police health and form fighting capacity,we must pay high attention to the mental fatigue of the armed police.We investigate the mental fatigue status,analyze its related factors and discuss the coping strategies and suggestions.The results show that there are significant differences in different regions.The mental fatigue of armed police in south area is more serious than that in north area.Among objective factors,marital status and military age have a significant impact on mental fatigue.The married armed police have more serious mental fatigue than unmarried one.The armed police,who had enrolled for 3-5 years or more than 10 years,tend to be mental fatigue than others.However,the mental fatigue differences between the armed police,which are not the same education,age,major and military rank,have no statistics sense.Among subjective factors,the excessive self-requirement,the heavy workload,the intensive interpersonal relationships,the lack of psychological intervention mechanism and the fuzzy career planning play an important role on mental fatigue.According to the investigating results,we provide tactics and proposals for the armed police who are in mental fatigue,such as plan work task properly,improve the psychological self-adjustment ability,optimize psychological intervention mechanism and career planning.The study has provided theoretical basis and practical direction for the armed police’s health maintenance and psychological intervention.
