Nowadays,due to the high standards and strict requirements of teaching affairs in military academies,teachers in military academies bear great pressure from work.Without proper relief,teachers in military academies are very likely to be burned out by negative feelings such as severe fatigue,great tiredness and low accomplishment.In recent years,a number of teachers in military academies who suffered from burnout chose to leave teaching posts.It's noticeable that the number of teachers with higher academic degrees or senior technical titles who chose to demobilization is growing.Greater attention should be paid for the issue of brain drain in the military schools.Based on my working experience and survey in an academy of Chinese People's Armed Police Force(PAP),the thesis presented a statistical analysis of my self-designed questionnaires on the teachers' burnout.Moreover,it explored the causes of teachers' burnout in the PAP academy.Finally,it proposed recommendations on the prevention and relief from burnout from the perspectives such as management,psychology and organization behavior,etc.In the Chapter One,the thesis firstly introduced the background of the burnout research,and then proposed the theoretical and practical significance of the research.Additionally,it presented the recent studies on teachers' burnout,occupational stress,and perceived organizational support as well as the major contents and methodology of the research.In the Chapter Two,the thesis firstly defined three concepts of military academies,PAP academies and military academy teachers,and then clarified the relationship between military academies and PAP academies,and pointed out the common features between military teachers and PAP teachers.Moreover,it briefly introduced the relevant theories such as burnout,occupational stress and perceived organizational support.In the Chapter Three,the methodology,model and assumption of research were introduced.The original research data were based on a self-designed questionnaire in one PAP academy.SPSS software was adopted to conduct the project and factor analyses,and the reliability and validity tests of the screened data.In the Chapter Four,the thesis presented the statistical analysis of stressor,perceived organizational support and burnout in one PAP academy.Firstly,the descriptive statistics method was adopted to analyze the general level of teachers' stress,perceived organizational support and burnout.Secondly,different factors of burnout were analyzed by demographic variables.Thirdly,through dimensional analyses and regression analyses,the interrelationship and influence between stressor,perceived organizational support,and burnout and its dimensions were analyzed.Finally,the conclusion was drawn based on the former analyses.In the Chapter Five,From the several perspectives of Psychology,Management,Human Resources Management and etc,both organizational-level and individual-level recommendations were made for prevention and relief from burnout in the Chapter 5,based on the major factors that influence the teachers' burnout and the status quo of the teachers' occupational stressor and perceived organizational support.
