China has entered the aging society,the aging population situation is increasingly serious.Compared with the developed countries in the west,the hospice care for the elderly started late and developed slowly due to the influence of many factors such as economic society and traditional cultural concepts.In recent years,although Chinese scholars have made progress in the quantity and quality of the research on hospice care for the elderly,most of them belong to the medical discipline and few of them are social work disciplines.From the perspective of research direction and content,most of them focus on the social support or security,influencing factors,status quo and problems,operation mode and other aspects of hospice care,while the practical research of social work service is rare.From the perspective of research,most of the research focuses on the theoretical level,while the empirical level is less;From the perspective of the application of research methods,most of them are quantitative and less qualitative,especially case studies.This study focuses on the application of case work in hospice care for elderly patients with terminal cancer.,by choosing a more typical and representative terminal cancer of the old man as the object of case study,the case for social work as the main research methods,combined with the use of text analysis,participatory observation and deep interview method,focus on hospice care social work service process were studied.Specifically,on the basis of assessing the needs or problems of the case owner,the service plan was made together with the case owner,and the plan was implemented according to the plan.Finally,the service was evaluated and summarized,including successful experience,practices and shortcomings.In general,this study has basically achieved the expected goals.
