Since the new century,China has entered the stage of population aging,the size of the elderly group is becoming larger and larger,the degree of aging is deepening,and the problem of old-age care is increasingly prominent.Due to the transformation of the traditional old-age model,institutional pensions have become a new choice for more and more elderly people.With the passage of time,the elderly in the institution's pensions continue to grow in age,and their physical functions are declining.Ultimately,they will face the heavy issue of "death." Different from the elderly living at home,once the elderly who come to the institution to support the elderly have the choice of this old-age way,it will be more difficult to retreat to the family pension.For them,the old-age institution is often the end of their life.place.Therefore,in the work of institutional old-age society,how to use the professional methods of social work to meet the actual needs of the elderly in the end-of-life stage,and then help the elderly at the end of the life to overcome the fear of death,feel the value and significance of life,and finally reach the "good death" and become old Important issues that social workers need to address.To this end,the author enters a certain old-age care institution,and through the professional practice of case work for a dying elderly person in the institution,he hopes to explore the content and methods of social work intervention of the institution's endowment care,and provide the practical work for the future social work of the elderly.Learn from and reference.This paper uses the methods of literature,non-structured interviews,participation in observation and case work to conduct practical research.First,develop a case social work plan by analyzing and assessing the mental state and real needs of the dying elderly.Secondly,it details the development of the case work,including the involvement of the fear of death in the elderly,the involvement of low-value and low-identity,the care of the spiritual level,and the unfulfilled wish.Then,the process and results are evaluated for the entire case.Finally,summarize the problemsencountered during the case and the reflection after the completion of the intervention.Through the above research,this paper draws the following reflections and suggestions on the related issues of hospice care for the elderly in the institution: First,the case work method has the intervention advantage of professional services.Second,give play to the relevant functions of social workers in hospice care services.Thirdly,it is found that in the old-age care institutions where the hospice care service needs to be improved and suggestions are made,it is hoped that the institutions and social workers will work together.
