In the seventies of last century, there was a debate about Marx and Justice, that is,Tucker-Wood's proposition. The two sides of the argument have their own interpretation of the relationship between Marx and justice, one of them believes that Marx is in favor of justice, and he has his own thought of justice; The philosophers of another school think that Marx's criticism of capitalism does not mean that he thinks capitalism is not important, that Marx himself has no idea of justice. The debate between Marx and justice in academic circles leads to the subject of our discussion:Marx's thought of justice. To study Marx's thought of justice, first of all,we should trace back to the origin of the concept of "justice".The pursuit and discussion of justice can be traced back to the beginning of the emergence of human society,in fact, both in the traditional Chinese culture.Or in the history of western philosophy, the concept of "justice" can be said to have never been absent, and even its appearance has played an important role in the whole Chinese and western culture.Marx's point of view is that at the beginning of private ownership, justice began to develop with the development of history.Although both China and the West, thinkers of different historical periods have stood in different angles. From different fields and levels to interpret and elaborate justice, nature,in the concept of justice, the main content and the principles of judgment and other aspects also have different views and understanding, but there is no doubt,Justice exists as a kind of beautiful ideal pursuit for which mankind constantly strives. We often say that the study of philosophical concepts or philosophical ideas is on the shoulders of predecessors. The forming process of Marx's thought of justice is undoubtedly influenced by the sages philosophers'understanding of the concept of "justice" and the problem of justice. Therefore, before we examine and study Marx's thought of justice,It is necessary to sort out the etymology, semantics and development history of the concept of justice. The main feature of classical justice is respect for the rights of the community, and they believe that there is in fact a community that predates and prevails over the rights of the individual, which is sacred, which makes the individual subordinate to the community,And gradually abated by the community; The liberal view of justice is characterized by respect for the rights of the individual, who believe that the rights of the individual are also sacred and inviolable, and that the rights of this natural individual precede the rights of the community. It is the transfer of individual rights that makes the rights of the community come into being. The view of liberalism justice is composed of the concept of justice developed by the thinkers such as Hobbes,Rousseau and Locke.Of.Before Marx's thought of justice came into being, the classical and liberal views of justice were two representative types of justice in the field of justice at that time, which respectively occupied the leading role in the historical stage in a certain background of the times. Moreover,as the theoretical origin of Marx's thought of justice, the two types of justice have influence and effect on the production and formation of Marx's thought of justice.Marx did not study justice as an independent proposition, nor did he write a monograph on justice, which is indeed a pity, but in his exposition of historical materialism,we can indeed find his direct view of justice.Indirect expression, after combing this reflects Marx's rich justice thought and theoretical significance. On the basis of inheriting and criticizing the traditional thought of justice,Marx combined with his own philosophical thought to form the thought of justice. This article attempts to lead to the pursuit of Marx's justice problem through the causes and consequences of the controversy between Marx and justice, and then through the"Tracing back the concept of "justice" and combing the traditional thought of justice, this paper discusses the formation of Marx's thought of justice based on the inheritance and criticism of the thought of traditional justice, and finally probes into the thought of justice of Marx through the content of Marx's thought of justice.
