In recent years,the reform of government organization and its correlative issue of performance appraisal is the hot topic noticed all the society.However,there has been much controversy on the performance appraisal system.It is well known that the traditional appraisal system is outmoded,inefficient and greatly affected by subjective factors which lead to obscure assessment.Accounting for the fact that the finance staff in government is a special group which bears responsibility different from the finance staff in enterprises and other government staff,a special appraisal system for them is needed.As an important component part of the appraisal system for government,the improvement of performance appraisal system for the finance staff in government is conductive to the development of appraisal system for the whole government.Meanwhile,it will offer a reference of the reform in performance appraisal system for other departments.On this paper,the performance appraisal for LNJH Office finance staff is investigated based on a comprehensive analysis of the present system for all the government departments.In combination of the advanced theory and practical experience abroad and a thorough investigation of the present appraisal system,a specialized and reasonable performance appraisal system was proposed for the LNJH Office finance staff.As the main body of this paper,the third chapter summarizes the current situation and flaws of the present appraisal system.The fourth chapter analyzes the causes in depth,and the fifth chapter proposes the detailed improvement advices.
