The social education work in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region during the Anti-Japanese War is an example in the history of education,and a model for the Communist Party of China to combine Marxist educational thought with Chinese reality.In the process of popularizing social education,the Border Region Government has taken a series of effective measures,which have greatly promoted the development of social education.One of the measures that can not be ignored is to use newspapers and periodicals to report and publicize social education work,especially the New China Daily,which is the mouthpiece of The Central Committee of the Communist of China.It attracts a large number of people with its rich contents and various forms of reporting.The active participation of the people in social education not only helped consolidate the political power of the Communist Party of China in the border region,strongly supported the Anti-Japanese War,but also promoted the development of social education in the border region and improved the cultural level of the people in the border region.The New China Daily has made indelible contributions to the development of social education in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region.In this paper,the New China Daily published in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region during the Anti-Japanese War was taken as the main research object.Through collecting and sorting out the relevant historical materials,and absorbing the previous research results,the contents of social education reported by the New China Daily were sorted out and inspected.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part analyses the necessity and possibility of New China Daily reporting on social education in border region;the second part summarizes and collates the main contents of New China Daily reporting on social education in border region,including the relevant government documents,organizational forms,achievements and shortcomings of social education published by New China Daily and the advanced model of social education.The third part evaluates the effect of social education reported by New China Daily from thwree aspects: characteristics,functions and limitations;the fourth part summarizes the historical experience and Contemporary enlightenment of social education reported by New China Daily;finally,the concluding part makes a brief summary of the research content of this paper and points out the inadequacies of this paper.
