Impact Of E-service Quality,Information And Digital Literacy In E-government Adoption

There is always potential and possibilities that societies enjoy by connecting virtually and adopting e-services.Aim of the study is to examine the new trend of digital and new media technologies acceptance in the society.Current dissertation is to examine information and communication technology(ICT)acceptance model in an elegent manner by using multi-disciplinary prospective of individual learnability skills and experience in the digital age.To measure and examine the information and communication technology(ICT)adoption among the individual mentioned constructs were used by adapting modified Technology Acceptance Model.Web Skills,Information Literacy,Pro-Sharing Norms,Site Quality,Perceived Enjoyment,Task Relatedness,Intentions to adopt e-government services.For this research thesis,data was collected from citizens of China and Pakistan.A total number of 610 questionnaires were spread among respondents,out of which,475 was obtained from respondents for further analysis.To analysis the hypothesized model,three step statistical analyses were performed.At first step Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA)test was conducted to know that the data is feasible for analysis after that confirmatory factor analysis was performed to check the reliability and validity of the data.At third step,measurement and structural model was tested through which hypothesized model was tested.In total 12 hypotheses were tested using AMOS-21 and SPSS.Results for hypotheses 1 to 3 stated as pro-sharing norms which are positively associated with Task relatedness,site quality and perceived enjoyment that functional reasons but also for emotional satisfaction or social attachment including experiences,ease of use and perceived enjoyment related with the use of that technology.However Society play vital role in altering the behavior of individuals as users potentially perceive things useful that are in accordance with their pro-sharing norms and status.It also plays an important role in adoption of technology in its early stage as potential adopters tend to seek positive aspects of usage from pro-sharing norms and values.People tend to use products who they believe are important to them,value their opinions and pro-sharing norms and who influence their behaviors while using them.Services quality leads to user satisfaction and loyalty,and intend user to re-use the services.Quality of the services can be characterized as the functional and technical,it can be measured as the quality assessment of the product or service in the conjunction of the perceived cost of the product or service.However,service quality is the most important factor in determining the usage behavior of individuals.Consumers adopt new technology not only for their functional reasons but also for emotional satisfaction or social attachment including experiences,ease of use and perceived enjoyment related with the use of specific technology.For adopting new technology,people tend to rely on social networks and peers which develop there mindset about certain technology.Same hypotheses from 4 to 7 results depicts that Information literacy and digital literacy are positively associated with Task relatedness,site quality and perceived enjoyment,these literacies which affect individual's behavior towards adopting e-government services.Social media has been now considered as one of the most powerful tool for providing information to the citizens specially youth about any services or products as it can increase the usefulness of the service by altering the intention of the individuals about certain topic.At the end perceived enjoyment,quality and task relatedness have positive impact on user intention to use e-government services.E-Government create value of their services by combining web quality in such a way that it become easy to use,useful,less time and effort consuming.These services can change the traditional time taking government methods to new easy to use computerized systems and can enhance the productivity and performance of whole system as well as beneficial for citizens.With the advancement of technology and web tools for providing information to consumers about any technology have made it easy to access information about any product or service.As far as building interest of youth towards social media sites like Facebook,Instagram and Twitter.Now social networking sites have also been the vital source for sharing information about product or service.Research also suggested that having information about E-services will create the path for adoption of E-government that will enhance knowledge sharing among citizens and will be very useful for doing online transactions and using those services by promoting online interaction among individuals.In case of e-government,people should have enough information about such services and what benefits they will gain from adopting these services and how it will increase their productivity and performance.
