Research On The Status Quo Of Rural Orphans Of Fact And The Countermeasures In Guanyun County Of Jiangsu Prowince

We are very familiar with the word "orphan",however,there is little understanding of another large number of special group---the fact orphans.As a result of the fact that it is not in accordance with the definition of ordinary orphans,they can not enjoy all the welfare benefits of government special for orphans.However,they require social assistance and care much more severely and urgentlyIn China,There are large quantity researches on social relief system of orphan welfare which is being gradually mature.But for another similar group--orphans of fact which has been forgotten in the corner of society.The fact is that they are under a crucial stage of psychological and physiological development,living in poverty,lacking care and support from parents or society.They are often facing severe problems in life,including academic,emotional,interpersonal,or sense of security,which impact these children during their growth of life physically and mentally.This paper takes County of Guanyun in Jiangsu Province as an example to conduct a research and analysis of the current situation in orphans of fact,in the form of questionnaire survey covering 9 towns,2 townships and 1 Street 178 orphans of fact.The questionnaire involves basic information and condition of personal essential information,living,education,social assistance and interpersonal interaction.Then we deal with the results of the survey with statistical methods based on the investigation to analyze the problems and reasons.Finally,we study relevant experience at home and abroad in orphans of fact,and table specific proposals on how to help orphans of fact respectively from local government,non-governmental relief organizations and ordinary families especially on the assistance mentally.This article conducts a research and analysis on the current situation and countermeasures of rural orphans of fact with the hope that the data can be conductive to relevant departments carrying out helpful measures,and gives reference for other scholars’ research,which has great theoretical and practical significance.
