Taiwan's youth are becoming an important political force in Taiwan. In the 2016 Taiwan Leaders' Election and the 2018 Taiwan's "Nine in One" Election,Taiwan's youth actively voted and became a significant force that can influence the election results. As the future elites of Taiwan's society, young generation's political, national and cultural identity deserves more research.Based on the understanding of Taiwan's media environment and media usage habits of Taiwan's youth, this paper studied the content from 2016-2019 of the largest online forum of college students in Taiwan,i.e.the Dcard,to explore the changes and current status of political, national and cultural identity of Taiwan 's young generation. The findings show that,in terms of political identity,Taiwan's youth do not agree with the leadership of the Communist Party of China, but they are also tired of the leadership of blue and green parties in Taiwan;in terms of national identity,Taiwan's youth are not identifying with Mainland China as their motherland but think Taiwan as an independent political identity;in terms of cultural identity,Taiwan's youth are not identifying with the Chinese culture but rather identifying with a unique Taiwan culture.Possible factors that might influenced the young generation's identities were discussed, including Taiwan's politics, education, media, individual factors of youth,cross-strait relations and international politics.Suggestions to enhance Taiwan's youth to identify to the One China idea are proposed.
