Study On The Development Status Of The Local Non-Profit Incubators

Along with the gradual acceleration of the modernization of social governance and the improvement of the self-management ability of our society,non-profit organizations have become an important power that cannot be ignored to promote our social self-management.In the new period of the society,as an outstanding part of innovative practices in the field of social public governance,non-profit incubators have opened up a new way for the cultivation and development of the non-profit organizations.Compared with developed countries like the U.S.,the UK and Japan,non-profit incubators started rather late in China.Through the in-depth and detailed case analysis of the incubator in G District of Fuzhou City,this paper explores the development status of local non-profit incubators'and points out that there needs improvement in China local non-profit incubators such as the publishment of specific policy guidance,the enrichment of non-profit incubator' types and its service scope,the reinforcement of professional levels of the employed staff,the improvement of management services,the increase of social awareness and so on.In the meantime,this paper summarizes experience and practice in the development process of NPI in Shanghai of China and Japan NPO Support Center and then puts forward some countermeasures for the healthy and high-quality development of local non-profit incubators which are to perfect the policy and service management system,to strengthen its financial support,to increase its types,to improve its resource utilization and to raise the level of social credibility as well as its public awareness.
