In the United States in the early 21 st century,economic development was slow and the overall environmental situation improved.In this context,the Bush administration has implemented a policy of placing development on the protection of the environment.This is called the "Anti-Environmental Protection" policies,and the implementation of this policy has aroused strong reactions from all walks of life.This article attempts to make a comprehensive inspection of the "Anti-Environmental Protection" policies implemented by President Bush.The first part of this paper focuses on the background and reasons for the Bush administration's policy of "anti-environmental protection”.Mainly from the federal government,the Congress,the court's attitude towards environmental protection,the economic situation and environmental conditions in the late 1990 s,the influence of conservatism,the promotion of "anti-environmental protection" forces,the lobbying of industrial and commercial organizations,etc.And analysis.The second part of the article mainly analyzes the content of Bush's"Anti-Environmental Protection” policies,including: adjusting administrative agencies,relaxing environmental regulations and reducing budgets;relaxing restrictions on logging on public land,reducing emission standards for power plants,and relaxing against endangerment The protection of species,the promulgation and implementation of new oil policies and the refusal to sign the Kyoto Protocol to promote its "Anti-Environment Protection”policies.The third part of the article,through the analysis of the content of the "Anti-Environmental Protection" policies of the Bush administration,came to the following understanding: The "Anti-Environmental Protection" policies formulated by the Bush administration has deeply damaged the existing environmental protection system in the United States;but on the other hand,Its policy practice objectively promoted the rebound of environmentalism and,to a certain extent,affected the direction of the Obama administration's environmental policy.
