Practical Research On Social Work Intervention In Community Correction

At the beginning of the pilot project of community correction in China,social work and community correction have established a close relationship under the guidance of the government and relevant scholars.In more than ten years of community correction practice,China has also explored the "Beijing Model" and "Shanghai Model" with Chinese characteristics,both of which regard social work as an indispensable supporting force in community correction.The main reasons why social work can intervene in community correction are as follows: on the one hand,labeling theory,risk control theory,execution socialization theory provide theoretical support for social work to intervene in community correction.On the other hand,social work intervention in community correction has a certain practical basis.The contents of social work and community corrections are not only common,but also practical in the professional concepts and methods of social work.In addition,the government also encourages social work to participate in community corrections.Through reviewing the situation of social work intervention in community correction projects carried out by Y institutions in Jinhua City,this paper finds that social work intervention in community correction practice has the advantages of emphasizing the establishment of professional relations,emphasizing resource integration and establishing support networks,but there are still some disadvantages,such as the lack of linkage mechanism between judicial organs and social work institutions,the difficulty of measuring the effectiveness of social work intervention in community correction and the difficulty of social work intervention in community correction.The community correctors have low recognition of social work and other issues.In view of the above problems,the paper proposes to guide social work to better participate in community correction practice from three aspects: legislation guarantee linkage mechanism,establishment of scientific evaluation mechanism and enhancement of professional quality,so as to promote the further development of social work intervention in community correction practice.
