Research On Rural Empty-Nesters For The Aged

With the continuous improvement of medical level,the life expectancy per capita in China is gradually prolonged,and the aging population is increasing.At present,China has entered an aging population society,and the old-age pension problem of the elderly is becoming increasingly prominent.Among the numerous elderly groups,the problems and challenges faced by the rural empty nesters are particularly prominent due to the absence of children or children,low economic income,poor health,inadequate social security and lack of pension resources.How to solve the old-age problem of empty nesters in rural areas has become a hot and difficult issue in the whole society.Focusing on solving the problem of old-age care for empty-nest elderly in rural areas,this paper takes Hengfeng County of Shangrao City,Jiangxi Province as a sample case,adopts random sampling method,and distributes questionnaires to 380 empty-nest elderly in 19 administrative villages of 8 townships in Hengfeng County,and obtains 348 valid questions.At the same time,random interviews were conducted with some rural empty nesters to get a better understanding of the living conditions of rural empty nesters in Hengfeng County.Through analysis and research,the main problems faced by rural empty nesters in Hengfeng County are summarized as follows: low income security,high expenditure,poor physical condition,expensive medical treatment,lack of daily care and empty spiritual life.By using quantitative and qualitative analysis,the main causes of the problems are found as follows: the lack of government security function,the low level of social security,the weakening of family security function and the insufficient self-security ability.In view of the existing problems and causes of rural empty nesters,this paper combines the actual situation of Hengfeng County,applies relevant theories,and on the basis of learning from successful cases at home and abroad,puts forward four countermeasures and suggestions: strengthening government security function,improving social security level,strengthening family security function and enhancing self-security ability.This article is based on field research and takes solving problems as its starting point and foothold.When analyzing and studying problems,reasons and proposing countermeasures and suggestions,it highlights the implementation of the government's safeguard function.Especially,aiming at the root cause of large influx of young and middle-aged people into cities in rural areas,which causes empty nesters in rural areas,this paper puts forward the implementation of "returning to nest" project,which combines with the current national implementation of rural revitalization.By vigorously revitalizing the rural economy,ecological environment and social undertakings,we can improve and enhance the rural economy,environment and public services,narrow the gap between urban and rural areas,return the young and middle-aged people flooding into the cities to the countryside,realize the "nest" of young and middle-aged people,and make the "nest" no longer "empty",so as to improve family functions,realize that the empty-nest elderly in rural areas can rely on,have a secure life and have spiritual comfort.
