This paper argues that the bilateral economic relations catalyzed by misperception,and focus on that India-Myanmar relations remain comprehensive to each other in the future.In 1991,the Indian Prime Minister Narasimha Rao government launched'Look East Policy,'aimed at getting closer to the booming economy of Southeast Asia.A smoothly functioning economic cooperation between India and Myanmar had become an imperative as India embarked on its'Look East Policy.' Geopolitically,Myanmar is as the only ASEAN country sharing a land border with India,Myanmar is also a bridge between South and Southeast Asia and a crucial and visible link between India and the rest of Southeast Asian economies,and conceptually with ASEAN.For the two expect to pursue the goal of their economic integration and interconnectedness of the region and enhance people-to-people contacts between India and Myanmar,India stands committed to several bilaterally agreed connectivity projects,including the Trilateral Highway project,and the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transport Project.This study analyzes to find a certain level of relation between the'Look East Policy' of India and the perception of the economic development of Myanmar and whether Myanmar's economy has a positive impact on the India-Myanmar economic relations.The study mentions India's'Look East Policy'elevated to a new level of friendship and cooperation and core challenges on the two countries economic relations are found in sanctions,inflation,banking infrastructure,border infrastructure and port and shipping.At the end,it concludes with minimizing the existing challenges towards developing new opportunities.
