From The Perspective Of Social Support,Research On Rural Empty-nesters' Elder-care Issues

In recent years,China has gradually entered the aging society,which is characterized by fast speed,large scale and severe form.Among them,the number of "empty nesters" who live alone and have no family is increasing at an unprecedented rate.Compared with cities,there is a big gap in rural infrastructure construction,pension security level,medical assistance services and other aspects,therefore,the rural empty-nesters are faced with more serious elder-care issues.From the current situation,this problem will continue to exist for a long time and become an important issue of rural social changes.From the perspective of social support,Building a new type of social support system for rural empty-nesters has become a new way of thinking to solve the pension problems of rural empty-nesters.This paper takes empty nesters in G village,Shanxi Province as the research object,using literature method,interviews,case study method,questionnaire method to analyze the social support status of empty nesters in G village.Starting from the content of social support,this paper analyzes the empty nesters in G village from four aspects: economic support,daily life care,spiritual consolation and medical assistance.It is found that the social support system for empty-nesters has many problems,such as low level of economic support and single income source;Life care mainly relies on self-support and spouse support,and formal support is obviously insufficient;The source of spiritual comfort support is weak in structure and the formal support function is not sound;the dependence of medical assistance on formal support system and the limited role of informal support.Focusing on the problem,the author analyzes the reasons from the aspects of imperfect social security system,unbalanced regional economic development,vacancy of formal pension support and weakening of informal pension support function.On this basis,the paper proposes to enhance the formal support functions of the government,institutions and communities and continuously improve the informal support function of rural empty-nesters,family and society,At the same time,combined with the new era of rural vitalization strategy to build a more complete rural empty-nest elderly pension social support system in order to solve many problems faced by rural empty-nesters in social support for the aged.This also provides reference for the development of old-age care for the rural empty-nesters.As a special group in the transitional period of Chinese society,their financial support,life care,spiritual consolation,medical assistance and other aspects need more attention.
