Research On The Management Problems And Countermeasures About The Migrant Population In Foshan

The migration and movement of population in geographic space is a complex phenomenon that integrates economic,social and cultural connotations.In the past 40 years of reform and opening up in China,a large number of peasants have left their homes and entered cities to engage in production and business activities.The scale of migrant population is increasing year by year,which bring demographic dividends to urban social and economic development,also brings pressure to the city's social management and public resources.Faced with the continuous increase of the total migrant population and the new characteristics and new problems,local government departments have paid great attention to it and made effective attempts in rationalizing management functions,improving management policies and level.Foshan is the third largest city in Guangdong Province and a famous manufacturing center in China.Superior geographical environment and special industrial structure have attracted the migrant population all over the country.In recent years,the number of migrant population occupies half of the permanent population,and even has shown an anti-surpassing trend.Foshan Municipal Government attaches great importance to the management and service of the migrant population,and has made many attempts and experiences with Foshan characteristics,which has become an important epitome of the management of the migrant population in the whole country.At the same time,there are still some problems such as imperfect system and mechanism,public service,social security and so on.This paper described the main characteristics and development trend of the migrant population in Foshan City in recent years by using the methods of literature research,investigation and interview,focuses on the analysis of the current situation,effectiveness,problems and causes of the migrant population management in Foshan City,by drawing lessons from the management experience of advanced regions and cities and applying the theories of public governance and new public services,also put forward the countermeasures and suggestions,such as the specialization of management team,the legalization of management system,the equalization of public services,the diversification of governance subjects and the whole process of public security management.It will provide a reference for promoting the effective development of migrant population management in Foshan and ultimately promoting the all-round development and progress of politics,economy,culture and society.
