Research On The Equalization Of Public Services In The Process Of Social Integration Of New Generation Migrant Workers

According to the development rules and experience of different countries,the rapid urbanization will inevitably lead to the increase of the number of urban migrants,and the complexity of regional population structure will lead to the problem of social integration.At present,the new generation of migrant workers has gradually become the main body of urban migrant workers in China.Although they play a decisive role in the development of urban economy,they do not have a significant living condition in the places where they enter.They are facing integration difficulties at many levels and have become marginalized groups in urban society.The main reason is that the household registration system and various policy restrictions derived from it make the new generation of migrant workers in the city in a dilemma of "staying in but not integrating".As the basic rights and interests of citizens,the realization of equalization of basic public services is of great significance for promoting the transformation of the new generation of migrant workers' citizenship and promoting the process of social integration.Based on the research perspective of equalization of public services,this paper expounds the necessity of equalization of basic public services and its logical relationship with social integration.After constructing the theoretical framework of public service and social integration,this paper empirically answers the key questions in the process of social integration of the new generation of migrant workers.Thispaper takes Shanghai as an example to carry out a questionnaire survey.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows :(1)what is the current situation of the new generation of migrant workers' demand for basic public services? The statistical results show that the new generation of migrant workers in Shanghai enjoy a low index of basic public services,and there are significant differences in the degree of access to different types of public services.Among them,social security participation is the most common,while from the perspective of demand,medical and employment services have the highest demand.(2)what is the integration status of the new generation of migrant workers in economic,psychological,cultural and other dimensions? The study divides social integration into four dimensions and measures each dimension separately.The results show that the degree of cultural integration is the highest,while the degree of psychological integration is the lowest.(3)what factors influence the social integration of the new generation of migrant workers?This paper discusses basic public services,individual characteristics,family factors and regional characteristics by building a multiple regression model.The study found that basic public services,independent variables,had a significant impact on social integration,while other control variables affected social integration from different dimensions.Among them,marital status and regional differences would lead to significantly different degrees of social integration.(4)how do basic public services affect their social integration? The quantitative part of this paper focuses on the degree of influence of basic public services on various dimensions of social integration and the differentiation order.The model results show that basic public services largely promote the social integration of the new generation of migrant workers,but the relationship with different integration dimensions is not uniform.Among them,the influence on the psychological and economic level is greater,the impact on the cultural level is the least;Social security has the most consistent influence on the integration of all dimensions.Therefore,to realize social integration,we should accelerate the construction of service-oriented government,promote the effective supply of public services and improve the living conditions of migrant workers.The above empirical conclusions verify the theoretical framework of chapter 3,that is,basic public services have a substantial impact on social integration,and conclude that there is a differentiated relationship between the two.In order to further explore the practical reasons behind the differentiation influence level,this paper conducts a qualitative analysis in the fifth part.Aiming at the quantitative part of the research conclusion and part of the unproved research hypothesis,through in-depth interviews to conduct problem induction and cause analysis,try to explore the reasons for the lack of equalization of basic public services in Shanghai and the difference in the impact,in order to provide a more reliable practical basis for the theoretical framework and empirical conclusion.Finally,the article based on the empirical and interview results,combined with the new generation present situation of basic public services for rural migrant workers in Shanghai,from aspects of the system,contents,mechanism,puts forward the path to solve the new generation peasant workers' basic public services for the problem of insufficient,to accelerate the supply side and realize the equalization of public service reform and sustainable development provides the power to promote social integration process.
