Research On The Influence Of Provincial Government Efficiency On Residents' Well-being

Facing the real dilemma of "stagnation of happiness",how to improve residents' happiness is an important issue that the Chinese government and the people have to solve now.With the development of governance capacity and governance system,governance and good governance have increasingly become the goals pursued by the Chinese government.Based on this background,this paper starts with the efficiency of provincial government,studies its influence on residents' happiness,and aims to improve the happiness of residents,proposes the optimization path of provincial government efficiency.It has important reference significance for the improvement of government efficiency,the optimization of resource allocation and the improvement of residents' happiness.Based on the existing research results,this paper selects the relevant data of provincial government efficiency and residents' happiness in the ?2015 China Provincial Government Efficiency Measurement Report? and the 2015 China Social Comprehensive Survey(CGSS2015),and using the Ordered probit model to establish a model of provincial government efficiency and residents' well-being.First,the overall regression is carried out to explore the impact of the overall provincial government efficiency on the residents' happiness;secondly,the five dimensions of provincial government efficiency(including public services,public goods,government size,residents' economic welfare,e-government)are used to make residents happy.In the end,the samples will be divided into groups,and the samples will be divided into the eastern,central and western regions according to the “region”.The samples will be divided into urban and rural areas according to the “household registration”,and then discuss the impact of provincial government efficiency on residents' happiness.The conclusions are as follows: First,from the overall sample,provincial government efficiency has a significant positive impact on residents' happiness.Second,in the study of five dimensions of provincial government efficiency: provincial government Public goods supply,residents' economic development welfare and provincial government public services have a significant positive impact on residents' well-being,and their influence increases in turn,but the scale of provincial government and the impact of e-government on residents' happiness are not significant.The third is that in the central and western regions,theefficiency of provincial governments has a positive effect on the happiness of residents,and the central region is larger than the western region,while the role in the eastern region is opposite.Provincial government efficiency has a positive effect on the well-being of residents in urban areas and rural areas,and the impact on rural areas is higher than in urban areas.Exploring the efficiency optimization path of provincial governments from the perspective of residents' happiness,the enlightenment is: First,the efficiency of provincial government should be improved with the improvement of residents' happiness.Second,the improvement of the efficiency of provincial governments should focus on improving the level of government public services,increasing the construction of residents' economic welfare,and improving the supply of government public goods,while maintaining the government cost(ie,the size of the government).Third,Third,in response to the different needs of different regions,the efficiency of provincial governments should be upgraded from the central and western regions and rural areas.
