This paper is based on the fact that there are still a large number of Chinese left-behind children in the middle-western underdeveloped provinces,and many parties are involved in solving the problem of left-behind children.The study is based on the left-behind children of a “smart child partner” project in a foundation.The PedsQL4.0 scale measures the quality of life of left-behind children and their PhysicalFunctioning,Emotional Functioning,Social Functioning andSchool Functioning.It analyzes whether there are significant influences on the quality of life of left-behind children,and incorporating electronic products such as intelligent robots into the companion body to investigate whether the companion-type artificial intelligence robot can play the role of companionship,when the parents or one side are absent and to some extent compensate for the lack of parental roles of the left-behind children.Through empirical analysis,this paper mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)Fathers,grandparents,siblings,other people and robots as companion subjects in the state of parent-child separation,respectively,will have different effects on the quality of life and dimensions of left-behind children.Specifically,the negative effect of grandparents and fathers on the quality of life of left-behind children is higher than that of other subjects.(2)Both parents and one of the parents who work outside the home can improve the daily communication frequency with the children,which can effectively improve the quality of life of the left-behind children in rural areas,especially the improvement of their emotional functions.(3)Especially in terms of time,artificial intelligence robots can play a companion role for left-behind children in the absence of parental roles and promote their quality of life.Based on the above conclusions,thispaper puts forward relevant suggestions on the use of rural left-behind children and the “accompanied” practice mode of social work.
