Research On Participation Behavior Of College Students' Wechat Groups And Its Influencing Factors

Wechat group provides a platform for college students to express themselves in network groups,and it plays an increasingly important role in college students' daily life.In order to explore the participation behavior of college students in Wechat group and its influencing factors,361 university students were selected from two universities in central region to conduct a questionnaire survey by convenience sampling and snowball sampling.Through descriptive analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis of the survey results,This research investigated the basic situation of using Wechat group for college students,the influence of Wechat group's motivation and network interpersonal trust on college students' participation behavior of WeChat group.This research draw the following conclusions:(1)The scale of college students' Wechat group is concentrated in 6 to 10,the time of using Wechat group is concentrated in half an hour every day,the frequency of using Wechat group is concentrated in 10 times,and the types of Wechat group using by college students are concentrated in strong relational group such as relatives group,classmates group and friends group.(2)The overall score of Wechat group's participation behavior is 2.05,slightly higher than the average score of 2,of which Wechat group browsing behavior is higher than interactive behavior.(3)Wechat group's motivation for college students can be divided into interpersonal communication motivation,information acquisition motivation,entertainment motivation and self-expression motivation.The overall score of Wechat group motivation is 3.05,which is at a medium level;the overall score of network interpersonal trust is 2.88,which is at a moderately low level.(4)Wechat group's use motivation and its factors,network interpersonal trust and Wechat group browsing behavior,interactive behavior are positively correlated.Regression analysis found that the information exchange motivation and network interpersonal trust can positively predict the browsing behavior,the model explains 22.7% of the overall situation.The interpersonal communication motivation and network interpersonal trust can positively predict the interaction behavior,the model explains 36.4% of the overall situation.In addition,the educational level also affects college students' browsing behavior and interactive behavior in varying degrees.Based on the above conclusions,this research make some suggestions on how to make use of the Wechat Group for college students.
