Research On Incentive Mechanism Of Community Volunteers In Shenzhen City

With the development of our society,Community voluntary service in China is making a significant progress.Shenzhen is the first city in China starting up Community voluntary service and enjoying rapid development.Broadly-based participation,sound Community voluntary service organizing system,Community voluntary service item's diversity as well as good Community voluntary service platform are providing models for other cities.Nevertheless,comparing with developed countries and regions,Shenzhen's Community voluntary service is still facing problems such as excessive administrative mobilization,volunteers' lack of profession and continued motivation.One of the prime reasons might be the inadequate incentive mechanism.This study takes the incentive mechanism of community volunteers in Shenzhen as study object and aims at expanding the incentive theory's study object as well as voluntary service's connotation.Also,it aims at improving the quality of Community voluntary service and promoting the innovation of social governance.This study adapts the methods of documentary analysis,comparative research,questionnaires method,documentation method.Under t he theories such as The Tragedy of Commons,Civil Society,Incentive,Incentive compatibility,analysed the problems existing in the incentive mechanism of community volunteers in Shenzhen from the perspective of government,society,volunteer organizations,and volunteers.Also,learning from the experience of United States,United Kingdom,Singapore,this study suggests to build a multidimensional incentive mechanism of community volunteers.The study contains five parts.First part is Introduction.This part introduces the background,study's meaning,research literature,study's content and scheme.Second part expatiates related notion and analytical framework.Third part is the analysis of incentive mechanism of community volunteers in Shenzhen by analyzing the results and examples.This part introduces the present situation and problems existing in the incentive mechanism of community volunteers in Shenzhen.Forth part sums up the experience of United States,United Kingdom,Singapore.Fifth part is the suggestions about how to improve the incentive mechanism of community volunteers in Shenzhen from the perspective of government,society,volunteer organizations,and volunteers.
