A Study On The Influence Of The Universal Two-child Policy On Women's Employment

While the implementation of the two-child policy put an end to the Chinese one-child police,it influenced Chinese economy,politics and society deeply,especially Chinese women as the child-bearers.Many scholars believe two-child policy would exacerbate sex discrimination as it increases the conflicts between the different social roles of women,and would have negative impacts on employment,promotion and personal development of women.On the other hand,some scholars believe there is no relationship with the policy and women employment.And some others think the two-child policy brings positive effects on women employment because women would have to continue working to cover the increasing living cost of the family because of the second child.Thus,is there relationship between two-child policy and women employment,and how it affects women employment?Based on the study of secondary data of two-child policy,reproduction,women employment,and survey result of women's career choice,promotion,personal development,re-employment and the number of children,this article analyzes if two-child policy has dramatic impacts on women employment,and the causes of those impacts.At the end of the article,practicable recommendations are given for families,enterprises,and governments.
