This article takes Russia's policy toward Iran as the research object since the end of the Cold War.It analyzes the evolution process,the changes,main contents and characteristics of Russia's policy toward Iran after the Cold War,and the reasons for the changes.Based on the factors affecting the policy,this paper predicts Russia.The future direction of the Iraq policy.After the end of the Cold War,Russia generally pursued a friendly policy toward Iran: adopting a deep and deep cooperation policy toward Iran in energy,adopting a pragmatic and prudent cooperation policy in security,and adopting a flexible and balanced approach in international multilateral mechanisms.policy.Russia's policy toward Iran is generally pragmatic and realistic.Its main purpose is to adapt to the changes in the global governance system,balance and weaken NATO's squeeze of Russia's strategic space in the Middle East,with Iran's presence in the Middle East and Central Asia.The influence eliminates the threat of separatist forces and terrorism and safeguards the national interests of Russia in traditional strategic regions.Based on the existing research results,this paper increases the analysis of the factors affecting Iran's domestic policy,and expounds the transformation of Russian geopolitical thinking and the impact of emerging social security issues on its foreign policy.The study found that although the cooperation between Russia and Iraq in the economic and security fields has increased,Russia is worried that the close relationship between the two countries will break the political balance in the Middle East.Therefore,Russia will continue to maintain active political and economic cooperation with Iran,safeguard the balance of various international forces in the surrounding areas,and appropriately slow down the pace of deepening strategic partnership with Iran.
