"Chinese Impression" Of The Citizens Of Iquitos,Peru

The attitude of Peruvian citizens towards China bears on the cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.In different historical periods,Iquitos citizens have different access to Chinese information,thus forming different "Chinese impressions".Peru's early literature,films and high school history textbooks contain some information about China.The citizens of Iquitos formed the traditional "Chinese impression" through these materials.In the traditional impression of citizens,China is a closed,ignorant and backward country.In the interview and questionnaire survey of contemporary "Chinese impression",most Iquitos citizens' impression of China is that China has a long history,splendid culture and rich people.Most Iquitos citizens support the cooperation and exchange between the two countries,but a small number of Iquitos citizens have negative evaluation of China due to the influence of information channels and other factors.On the whole,the "Chinese impression" of Iquitos citizens has undergone remarkable changes,showing characteristics of stages,continuity and diversity.
