Institutions are the organizations that represent the characteristics of Chinese socialism and are one of the main representatives of traditional unit organizations.Under the unit system,members of institutions have obvious organizational identification characteristics that are recognized by the “institutions” and manifested in many aspects such as organizational ownership,identity authentication,organizational loyalty,and behavioral consistency.Based on the “unit system”,this paper uses the method of case studies to discuss the organizational identification characteristics of the members in the process of function-based reform of the institutions.On the basis of the above,this paper examines the members' judgment and recognition of institutional changes,and summarizes the associating mechanism between function-based reform of institutions and members' organizational identification,thus discussing the possible development direction of institutional organizations.The research shows that: from the perspective of the institution,changes of planned resources supply system,employment system,benefit distribution system,etc.,drive those institutions to move toward a market-oriented organization and management model;from perspectives of organizational authority,organizational attachment and organization shelter,function-based reform of institutions has a greater impact on the organizational identification of the institutional members;the changes of members' organizational identification reflect the changes in the relationship between the institutions and their members,thus representing the transformation of the institutions from the planned system to the market-oriented system.Therefore,the healthy and orderly development of classification reform of public institutions can be promoted through national policies,financial guarantees,and active cooperation of organization members in the context of current classification reform of public institutions,so as to raise the organizational identification of internal members of public institutions.Since problems and contradictions existed in the classification reform will be inevitably deepened in the coming period,studying in depth and breadth is of great significance to raise the organizational identification of unit members of public institutions,to enhance their happiness and job satisfaction,to job performance of the public institution and to improve the organizational stability.
