China is in an important period of rapid economic development and profound social transformation.As a pillar industry of national economy,the construction industry has obtained rapid development.With the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization,the investment scale and growth of major project construction projects have shown unprecedented prosperity.However,the major construction projects often involve many stakeholders,and project implementation cycle is relatively long.Therefore,there is an obvious environmental uncertainty and complexity of process,which will inevitably induce much social risk.Under the impact of the social structure transformation,the social problems in front of major construction projects become more edgy and complicated,which makes the collective action happened constantly.In order to identify the key factors that induce the collective action in the major projects,and to explore the formation mechanism and evolution path of collective action,this paper first analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the existing theory about collective action,and make an overview of the existing literature.Second,based on reviewing the existing literature,we find out the influence factors of collective action in major projects,from three subject,object,as well as the interaction,and finally identify six most important factors by using the factors analysis.Third,based on the six key factors,combined with the social combustion theory and social conflict theory,we finally explore the formation mechanism of the collective action in the major projects.Finally,the author puts forward some relevant policy suggestions in order to solve and forbid the formation of collective action.
