Study On The Spatial-temporal Evolution And Mechanism Of The Adjustment Of Political Districts Of China's Interprovincial Boundaries

The report of the 18 th national congress of the communist party of China put forward that "optimization of administrative levels and establishment of administrative divisions" is an important part of deepening the reform of the administrative system,and administrative divisions have become an important institutional issue affecting the country's economic and social development.Provinces border region is an important part of strategy implementation of the linkage development and regional integration.Existing research paid less attention on these areas and failed to clarify the differences and characteristics of different levels' administrative division adjustment.This paper focus on the space-time evolution of provinces border and its driving mechanism,so as to provide case for this area adjustment policy support and experience for reference.Based on the theory of growth poles,the theory of marginal economy of administrative regions and the theory of coordinated regional development,and by using GIS visualization software,statistical data and typical cases,this paper conducts a systematic study on the spatial-temporal evolution and driving mechanism of the adjustment of administrative regions on the boundaries of provinces.The detailed arrangements are as follows:(1)Introduction.Firstly,the background and significance of the research were described,followed by literature review,then the theoretical basis and ideas of the research were explained,and finally the research methods,data sources and technical roadmap were clarified.(2)The spatial and temporal evolution of the inter-provincial boundary adjustment of political districts above the county level.Through the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of provincial and prefecturelevel administrative areas,the paper summarizes their respective stages and processes,and finally analyzes the motivation of the adjustment.(3)Spatial and temporal evolution of county-level administrative district adjustment.Focusing on the spatial and temporal characteristics of countylevel administrative districts,the paper divided them into four adjustment stages,then made detailed analysis according to the four adjustment modes,and finally summarized the characteristics.(4)The driving mechanism of county-level administrative district adjustment.From different adjustment modes of inductive respective factors,county-level city adjustment mainly with foreign cooperation,poverty alleviation and development,growth pole cultivation orientation,municipal districts adjustment mainly with provincial linkage,ecological protection and space optimization orientation,and other types mainly about specification management and urban governance,eventually form a provincial boundary at the county level administrative adjustment driving mechanism.(5)Effect evaluation of county-level administrative district adjustment.Through three cases of municipal district adjustment,this paper analyzes the relevant effects formed under the three orientations.(6)Conclusion review and research prospect.According to the existing situation,this paper puts forward the prospect of the future adjustment of political areas along the provincial boundaries.
