Study On Situational Prevention Of Community Policing In Open Residential Areas

The rapid development of society has made the regional development of cities more obvious.The shift of urban development has made old open communities become the shackles of social harmonious development.The security environment of old open communities is not optimistic,compared with emerging urban communities.In the supporting facilities,physical management services and many other aspects have shown a weak trend.The police work carried out for such communities has also become the focus of community policing work.The study of crime prevention timing in the theory of situational crime prevention has changed from prevention after the fact to prevention in advance and in the event,and has shifted the perspective of research from focusing on criminals to focusing on criminal behavior,criminal victims,and criminal opportunities-that is,the situation of crime.It has become the third path choice in crime prevention methods besides social prevention and judicial prevention.Scholars have summarized five categories and 25 specific measures of situational prevention,which make crime prevention easier and easier to operate.Therefore,we try to use this theory to solve the difficult problems faced in the community policing work in old and open communities in China.Due to congenital defects and inadequate supplies,China's old open quarters have many problems in terms of infrastructure,personnel structure,environmental order and public security management.But the community policing work in the open community also has the disadvantages of weak police force,lack of control measures,and imperfect police mechanism.These problems all prompt us to conduct more in-depth thinking and detailed research on strengthening the community policing work.The theory of situational crime prevention is mainly derived from rational choice theory,daily activity theory and related theories of environmental criminology,and has been further developed and improved through the unremitting efforts of many scholars.Recognizing that the theory of situational crime prevention is of great reference to the four aspects of prevention goals,popular participation,situational perspective and victimization prevention,we put forward suggestions for strengthening community policing in open communities.This includes improving the prevention capability at the grassroots level,creating a good humanistic environment,improving the community prevention and control system,and raising the level of informatization in police work.The reference of situational preventive measures not only help solve the problem of insufficient police force in the community policing work,so that our police management level is improved,but also simple and efficient to the problem of open community policing,through the stability of the community to promote the improvement of social order.
