David Harvey's Study Of Space Justice

For a long time,thinkers,philosophers,statesmen and scholars have studied the issue of social justice from the perspective of time,space is often ignored or not taken seriously.After the 1960 s,the field of social theory is starting a space turn,scholars such as Foucault,Henry Lefebvre,David Harvey,and Sawyer focused on the absence of spatial justice and tried to apply the theory of spatial justice to practice.David Harvey is the scholar who published the most books,the most cited and the most influential scholars.He is the representative of contemporary New Marxism.He has been paid attention to by his geographical thinking and his short learning characteristics.He is also a representative of positivism in geography,and enjoys a reputation in the fields of sociology,anthropology,and political economics.Since 1969,he has published many books successively.On the basis of deeply studying Marxism,he starts from criticizing the injustice in the process of space production,exposing the essence of capitalist exploitation and using space justice as the "anti capitalist struggle to adhere to the best evaluation of the terrain."Harvey's space justice does not appear unexpectedly.In the 1960 s American urban crisis,in the era of globalization,in the long-term study of Marx's writings,in reading the space theory of Lefebvre and Foucault,Harvey gradually formed his own Set of space theory system,presented in his works.Harvey criticized the urban space production,the production of the natural space and the unjustness of the global space production.Finally,the "unified field" theory presented us with a panoramic view of unbalanced capitalist development of capitalism.After studying capitalist space occupancy and space justice,Harvey tried to give an answer sheet.He called for being a rebellious architect,hoping that by reconstructing the city rights and taking ecological socialism politics to realize the dialectical space-time Utopia ideal,that is to achieve the purpose of building a space of hope.Harvey used his own theory of spatial justice to explain “how contemporary capitalism survived and developed through space”,and conducted a more profound analysis of the nature of capitalism.This is what Marx calls "the capital came to this world,from head to toe,every drop of blood and dirty things in every pore ".However,some regrettably,Harvey did not give a concrete and practical solution to realize the space of hope.Although there are some flaws in Harvey's idea of space justice,it does not affect its contemporary value.From the theoretical point of view,Harvey is a loyal fan of Marx,when Marx doctrine was impacted,he firmly defended Marx doctrine with theoretical weapons and developed Marx theory.From a practical perspective,Harvey's thought of space justice provides a useful reference for our country to optimize the layout of urban space,to see the nature of environmental problems,to avoid risks in the era of globalization,and to carry out the five development concepts.
