It is sacred and honorable to work as a policeman.As a protector of traffic safety,traffic police deal a heavy blow to people with various uncivilized traffic behaviors.So they have made great contributions to ensure road traffic safety and maintain smooth traffic and transportation.They are essential and important for social development of China.There is blood behind the glory of a police badge.Traffic cops sacrifice a lot to maintain traffic safety and order.Many are injured and some even died.With the high number of the traffic cops who suffer from work-related injuries or death,status of their occupational safety and health is still worrying.It is urgent to have a scientific method to prevent and control hazards of their occupational safety and health.With implementation of the strategy of strengthening the police force through reforms and using big data in policing,smart policing has become a common goal of police stations in various places.This also provides a favorable opportunity for strengthening the efforts to prevent and control hazards to occupational safety and health of traffic cops.The paper explores the ways to prevent and control the hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police against the background of big data and shows thoughts of the paper in this regard.In order to do this,The paper studied theories in such disciplines as safety,management,occupational safety and health and use such theories as 4M accident causation system,risk management and the PDCA cycle as guidance.The paper also uses such methods as studying literature,field investigation and questionnaire survey and focuses on preventing and controlling the hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police to refer to the use of big data in the field of safety management.First,the paper defines the concept of big data and the concept of preventing and controlling hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police.Based on this,the paper theoretically demonstrates that it is necessary and feasible to use big data in preventing and controlling hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police.Second,by focusing on current hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police,the paper analyzes the problems that exist in preventing and controlling the hazards.Third,by using big data in the model of preventing and controlling hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police,the paper creates a big-data-based mode of preventing and controlling the hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police.Last,the paper explores ways to prevent and control hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police in the era of big data from such perspectives as technology,rules,culture,education and training.Hopes that this paper is able to make humble contribution to protecting occupational health and safety of traffic police,improving the ability of traffic police of preventing and controlling the hazards to their occupational safety and health,enriching the theory of managing the hazards of vocational safety and health of police,and providing a guidance about how to prevent and control hazards of occupational safety and health of traffic police in the era of big data.
