An Empirical Study On The Impact Of Urban Community Cohesion On Residents' Participation In Public Security

Without extensive participation of residents,the construction of comprehensive prevention and the effective operation of community policing strategy cannot be achieved.Residents' participation can effectively improve governance efficiency,save governance costs and create a safe social environment.Some studies show that community cohesion has a good explanatory power for residents' values and behaviors.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the influence of community cohesion on residents' participation.This study aims to clarify the influence of community cohesion on urban residents' participation,find out the existing problems,and put forward suggestions.After summarizing a large number of research results,this research redefines relevant concepts.Community cohesion is divided into three dimensions of community identification,community belonging and neighborhood relations,and public security participation is divided into two dimensions of attitude and behavior.This study selects the Z community in Huzhou city as the research object,and obtains the first-hand data through questionnaire survey and interview.In the process,one is to build a conceptual model,propose hypotheses,design a questionnaire;Second,the interview method is used to listen to residents' opinions.Third,SPSS 22.0 software was used for reliability and validity test and statistical analysis.Based on this,this paper describes the current situation of community cohesion and residents' participation in public security,analyzes the correlation and regression relationship between the two,and verifies the research hypothesis.The conclusions are :(1)the level of community cohesion needs to be improved;(2)actual behavior participation is low,the behavior and attitude are not synchronized;(3)community cohesion has a positive impact on public security participation.Based on the above conclusions,from the perspective that community cohesion has a positive impact on public security participation,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions for the existing problems.It includes building an interactive platform,expanding opportunities for neighborhood communication,resolving neighborhood disputes,creating a harmonious neighborhood atmosphere,strengthening community relations,stimulating inner emotional connection,cultivating public spirit,enhancing the sense of community responsibility,building community consensus,and docking diversified demands.
