Participation Opportunities,Participation Willingness And Political Participation Of The New Generation Migrant-workers

Effectively mobilizing the enthusiasm of the new generation of migrant-workers to participate in socialist democracy life,guiding and expanding the orderly political participation of this group from a multilevel and wide fields,is not only a adequately response to the historical reality of the transitions of China's Social Contradictions,but also a realistic requirement for the development of socialist democratic politics.However,impacted by the subjective and objective factors in recent years,political participation of the new generation migrant-workers was weary.Their exercise of civil and political rights was insufficient and unconscious in hometown.Their political rights were in "Vacuum" status in cities,the non-institutional tendency of political participation was obvious.In face of the social reality of the political participation marginalization of the new generation of migrant-workers,thoroughly analyze its causes,pertinently bring forward strategies and countermeasures to out of their dilemma,it is worth doing more research work.This paper focused on the impact of participation willingness and opportunities on political participation,analyzed the situation of participation willingness,participation opportunities and political participation status of the new generation of migrant-workers,approached the specific relationships between participation opportunities,participation willingness and political participation in hometown and cities of the new generation of migrant-workers.Through the empirical analysis of the survey data of the three provinces(cities)of Henan,Chongqing and Guizhou.This paper found that political participation in hometown and cities of the new generation of migrant-workers was in a dual marginalization status.Their political participation in hometown was significant influenced by their participation willingness,despite of political opportunities,however in cities it was influenced by participation opportunities and participation willingness,simultaneously.On the basis of the empirical analysis,the detailed research content based on above-mentioned researches as follows:First,what was the action logic of political participation of the new generation migrant-workers,whether it is a "Instrumentality" or a "Value".Combined with its characteristics of the new generation of migrant-workers' political participation in hometown and cities,the logic of their currently actions were based on the realistic "Instrumentality".Second,the affect mechanism of the new generation of migrants' political participation was political apathy,the lack of opportunities,or both.According to the logic of their political participation,lower willingness to participate and the apathy of political attitude were the mainly influence factors of the group's political participation in hometown.However,their political participation in cities was affected by the absence of participation opportunities and participation willingness.Third,by solidly promoting economic development,raising educational standards,perfecting participation mechanism,transforming government functions,the new generation migrant-workers' political apathy may be resolved,participation willingness will be mobilized.Pulling their participation willingness,participation opportunities and political participation in the same direction,the new generation of migrant-workers can walk out their predicament in political participation.
