Research On The Improvement Of Professional Service Ability Of Community Elderly Volunteers By Group Work

In an increasingly aging society,more and more elderly people choose to participate in voluntary service activities and gain a sense of belonging and achievement while dedicating themselves.But restricted by various subjective and objective factors,many elderly volunteers appear low specialization service ability,make its in the process of participate in volunteer service can't guarantee the quality of service,this was a blow for both service,hit the enthusiasm of the elderly volunteers not only,also can't make the service object to enjoy the high quality service.Elderly volunteers specialized service ability is low in this field since the development of long-term problems,social forces are looking for solutions,and social work has always been an important force in the field of elderly volunteer service,social work and volunteer service,social work has its core value and the professional knowledge skills,is a mature and professional,with its professional advantages to the development of help elderly volunteers.The group work practice methods commonly used in social work follow the core values of helping others,self-help and altruism in social work,and can make use of their own professional knowledge and skills to connect resources and promote the improvement of the professional service ability of community elderly volunteers.After reading the literature,the author also found that there are few researches on the involvement of group work.Therefore,the author hopes to provide practical experience and certain theoretical reference for the elderly volunteer service from the perspective of the involvement of group work.Firstly,social interaction theory and social support theory,which are closely related to group work and needs,are used as the theoretical basis.Again through the research methods of questionnaire and semi-structured interview research problems and needs of the object,found that the object of study the problem of low specialization service ability mainly reflected in the volunteer service insufficient understanding ability and service skills,and ability of organization and links to resources ability is poor,poor corresponding demand is mainly for the knowledge,skills,and ability of organization and the social support network requirements.Aiming at the problems and requirements,this paper designs the activity plan of the group work.The whole group activity is divided into the initial,middle and late stages,and the whole group activity is elaborated from the three aspects of group goal,group process and stage summary.Finally,through the evaluation of team satisfaction andeffect,summarize experience and propose improvement measures.Through the intervention,the goal of the group work was basically achieved,and most of the elderly volunteers were improved in knowledge and skills,organizational level and social support ability,and they were more confident in participating in volunteer service activities.This paper also draws a conclusion: the elderly volunteers' professional service ability should be improved from the internal and external aspects;The social support network in social support theory can be well used in the construction of elderly volunteers.
