Research On The Group Work Practice Of Cultivating The Service Consciousness Of Elderly Volunteers In Urban Community

At present,the aging degree of the population is getting deeper and deeper with the increasing number of the elderly population in China.The social status and attention of the elderly are also declining,gradually becoming a social vulnerable group,which brings some psychological troubles to them.How to improve the social status of the elderly and continue the self-worth of the elderly has also become an important issue at this stage.In particular,urban community retired old people have a lot of leisure time which most of the body in good shape.Through the organization to carry out the community volunteer service,giving full play to the advantages of their time and experience,making it as a volunteer to participate in community construction and development.This is not only an important present for self value realization,but also is the core factor of modern community governance.However,due to the lack of service platform and personnel organization,many elderly people in the community have a lack of understanding of voluntary service and their awareness with spirit of voluntary service have not been strengthened,so they fail to participate in voluntary service.Therefore,it is of great significance for the elderly to participate in community voluntary service more effectively by cultivating their awareness and ability of voluntary service,with the help of community social studio and social worker,through the intervention of social work groups.This study takes X community as the research field,USES the theoretical basis of group dynamics and the dominant perspective,and conducts the applied research by combining the methods of literature research,observation and interview.Workingin this paper,according to the group stages of development,the community elderly volunteer service consciousness fostering group as the research object,to the community with enthusiasm and devotion of the elderly as the backing.Based on the concept of social worker,and links to related resources,professional ability,constantly explore elderly community leaders in the group activities,promoting participation in community volunteer service consciousness and ability,so as to rebuild a positive self-awareness,rich in later life and realize self-worth.At the same time,in the group activities to enhance the elderly's interpersonal skills,expand the circle of friends,establish a good peer and community support system.Combining the research themes and methods,social worker carries out the whole practice process of the group from five stages,namely,establishing the professional relationship of the group,recognizing the consciousness of volunteer service,mining the value of the consciousness of service,implementing the behavior of volunteer service and cultivating the consciousness of service.According to the theme of group activities,different times of group activities were designed and implemented in each stage.Through each group process analysis,dynamic analysis and summary and reflection,the personal growth and change of team members and the realization degree of group dynamics were analyzed in detail.From the point of process and result evaluation,basic implementation team goals,team was improved team cohesion and team members in the sense of belonging and team satisfaction and to participate in the enthusiasm of community volunteer service activities have significantly improved,volunteer service consciousness has been enhanced,team members are able to carry out community volunteer service activities planned and actual.Through this study,social worker realized that should not only pay attention to the study and application of theoretical methods,constantly strengthen oneself theoretical skills to ensure the group activities is smooth and effective in group activities,but also take into account that the design of group activities should conform to the physiological and psychological conditions of the elderly,and always adhere to the subjectivity of the service group.And the scientific nature and effectiveness should be considered in the stage division of the cultivation of volunteer service consciousness in the elderly,which should not only follow the theoretical guidance of scholars on the practicalprocess of group work,but also combine with the nature and purpose of group work carried out in practice.In addition,social worker should play the role of positioning in different stages and control the rhythm and atmosphere of the group.
