Research Into Community Correction Of Female Termers In Community Via Intervention Of Social Work

With the rapid development of society,the criminal rate in China has been experiencing a gradual increase.Though the number of female crimes is,on the whole,smaller than the number of male crimes,the significant upward trend of female crimes,which is resulted from the improvement of females' economic and political position and expansion of females' social participation,cannot be ignored.As major members of a family,females play an important role in boosting family harmony and happiness,and social stability.Comparatively,female community termers differ from male counterparts in terms of psychology and physiology.Therefore,specific methods should be adopted for community correction of female community termers according to female characteristics,and this can facilitate female community termers' smooth return to society.Community correction is an important field of social work,and community correction social workers can help community termers restore their social functions and promote their social integration through employment of professional methods and skills.This paper consists of four sections.Section 1 introduces the research background,significance and purpose of this paper,and summarizes relevant research findings concerning community correction both at home and abroad.At the same time,concepts involved in this research are defined,and the theoretical basis for this research is expounded.Section 2 examines problems arising from female community termers' community correction process from the perspective of female community termers' psychological pressure,family care and social relationship,and analyzes the role of social work intervention in making up shortages of female community termers' community correction,enriching work methods and content of community correction,and providing professional correction methods for female community termers.Section 3 intervenes in female community termers' community correction through individual case study of social work,and comprehensively uses the strength perspective theory and social gender theory,and combines literature review,action research and non-structural interview as basic research methods to conduct case study of community correction of female community termers,aiming at alleviating female community termers' psychological pressure,strengthening their confidence,restoring their relationship with family members,and promoting their integration into the community.Based on the case study of female community termers,Section 4 concludes that community correction of female community termers via social work intervention can better reflect their gender characteristics and special demands,and help them make a comeback to society.Meanwhile,reflections on the case study integrates the concept of self-help and helping others into the whole process.According to practical situations of intervention,the intervention plan should be immediately adjusted and adjustment of the intervention plan and the professional qualities and abilities of social workers should be improved.It is hoped that research findings of this paper can provide references for social integration of female community termers.
