Study On Residents' Satisfaction With Basic Public Services In China And Its Influencing Factors

In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China has achieved world-renowned achievements,and its overall economic strength has leapt to the second place in the world.While the economic construction has made great achievements,the party and the government also attach great importance to the investment in the field of public services.So how satisfied are residents with basic public services? What other factors will affect residents' satisfaction with basic public services?Firstly,this study uses CGSS2015 data to analyze the satisfaction status of basic public services of Chinese residents.The study finds that the overall satisfaction of Chinese residents on basic public services and the average satisfaction of nine sub-areas are above 65 points.High level;more than 60% of residents have an overall satisfaction with basic public services and satisfaction with more than 60 points in nine sub-areas,with a positive attitude.Secondly,this study constructs multiple linear regression models(OLS models)and multi-level linear regression models(HLM models)to analyze the factors affecting the satisfaction of Chinese residents in basic public services from the provincial level and individual factors.The study found that residents' satisfaction with basic public services is about 17.75%.The variation comes from the provincial level.The per capita GDP of each province,the per capita expenditure of financial general public services,and the per capita disposable income of residents have a negative effect on the satisfaction of basic public services.However,the significance level of the statistical difference was not reached.Residents' satisfaction with basic public services is about 82.25% of the variance comes from individual factors,including the gender,age,years of education,ethnicity,health,region,marital status,urban and rural,political appearance,political participation,Factors such as income,unit nature,whether there is real estate,whether to participate in basic pension insurance,social class,sense of fairness,happiness,etc.have a significant impact on the satisfaction of basic public services,reaching a statistically significant difference.The specific impacts are as follows: women's satisfaction with basic public services is higher than that of men;the older the residents,the higher the satisfaction with basic public services;the higher the education level of residents,the lower the satisfaction with basic public services;the Han residents Satisfaction with basic public services is higher than that of minority residents;the higher the health of residents,the higher the satisfaction with basic public services;the satisfaction of residents in the western region with basic public services is higher than that of the eastern regions;the unmarried residents are basically public.Service satisfaction is higher than that of married residents;rural residents are more satisfied with basic public services than urban residents;party members are more satisfied with basic public services than non-party members;residents participating in political activities are highly satisfied with basic public services.For residents who do not participate in political activities;the higher the income of residents,the lower the satisfaction with basic public services;the satisfaction of residents in state-owned sectors is higher than that of non-state-owned departments;the satisfaction of real estate residents with basic public services Higher than residents without real estate;residents who participated in basic pension insurance for basic public services Satisfaction is higher than that of non-participating residents;the higher the social class of residents is,the higher the satisfaction with basic public services;the stronger the sense of fairness of residents,the higher the satisfaction with basic public services;the stronger the happiness of residents The higher the satisfaction of basic public services.
