After the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the anti-corruption and clean government under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee showed different new features, new trends and new practices.General Secretary Xi Jinping repeatedly proposed that "there must be no anti-corruption,full coverage, zero tolerance"."The punishment for corruption will never weaken, and the attitude of zero tolerance will never change." In fact, corruption is both a political issue and a social issue. To eradicate corruption requires both the control of public power agents and the efforts of the public. The public's corruption tolerance is a substitute for measuring the degree of corruption, and even to a certain extent is related to the success or failure of the anti-corruption struggle. So,what is the public's corruption tolerance? And what factors will it be affected by?Based on the survey data of public corruption tolerance in the S city of China's G province, this study examined the overall level of public corruption tolerance and compared the corruption tolerances of different demographics, public identities, overseas backgrounds, etc. In the above, the system examined the impact of socioeconomic status factors, institutional structure factors, and social and cultural factors on corruption tolerance. Finally, the following findings were found: First, the overall corruption tolerance of the public is at a lower-middle level; There are significant differences in different forms of corruption tolerance, and the tolerance for social corruption is significantly higher than the government corruption tolerance;there is still a certain group difference in public tolerance for corruption.Secondly, the overall corruption tolerance is mainly affected by socio-economic status and socio-cultural environmental factors.Among them, those who have experienced corruption and those who have no overseas background have lower tolerance for corruption;the higher the level of education, the tolerance for corruption. The lower the degree;the more perceptive the corruption is,the higher the tolerance for corruption.Third, people's tolerance for government corruption and tolerance for social corruption are different, and the effects of variousinfluencing factors are different.People's tolerance for government corruption is affected by socio-economic status, institutional and cultural factors, including income, overseas background, education level, public evaluation of anti-corruption effects, and the experience of “giving gifts to public officials”.Factors, but people's tolerance for social corruption is less affected by these factors, mainly affected by the socioeconomic status of age.In general, the public's job satisfaction with anti-corruption work is relatively high, but it has not been effectively translated into public's low tolerance for corruption. On the other hand, the public's corruption tolerance is largely derived from The influence of the social and cultural environment, the government needs to strengthen the anti-corruption confidence, prepare for long-term anti-corruption,carry out a comprehensive bottom-up social anti-corruption,and fundamentally reverse the corruption trend.
