A Case Study On The Construction Of Social Support Network For Migrant Children Of Ethnic Minorities

With the acceleration of China's urbanization process,the number of minority migrant children in China is increasing,and the multiple identities and multicultural identity of minority migrant children bring about more and more social problems.Therefore,it is very important to study the social support network of minority migrant children for their urban integration.Migrant children of ethnic minorities have different religious beliefs,cultural backgrounds and living habits.In the process of intervention by social workers,we should combine the actual situation of children of ethnic minorities and carry out relevant services according to different people.However,such groups have great barriers in language and social interaction,which pose a great dilemma to the construction of social support network for migrant children.This study mainly adopts the mode of social support.The author takes an ethnic migrant child in the internship process of W community as the research object to understand the overall characteristics of social support of ethnic migrant children.To understand the supporting role of social support network at four levels for migrant children of ethnic minorities in cities,and to build a social support network for migrant children of ethnic minorities by means of social work.Based on the author's practical experience,this paper puts forward some Suggestions for the construction of social support network for migrant children of ethnic minorities.This study draws the following conclusions: through the establishment of a guiding social support network,minority migrant children can establish their own social support network under the guidance of social workers.To improve and strengthen the support network of the clients from the four dimensions of individual level,family level,school level and community level can better integrate the clients into the current urban life and promote their healthy growth.Secondly,in the process of intervention,social workers alsoneed to build their own support network.They can make use of the advantage of college volunteers and indirectly change the understanding and behavior of volunteers to promote the social support network of the case subjects,which provides guarantee for the continuous help after the case is concluded.
