| China is in a critical period of social transformation.Some problems of society are gradually emerging.The social unfairness and serious government confidence crisis now have attracted more and more attentions in recent years,and the research on these two parts also added.However,Current research on government trust treat low trust as distrust and tended to see trust and distrust as the opposites on one continuum rather than distinguish between government trust and mistrust.Under this circumstance,few scholars have conducted separate studies on government distrust.This text thinks,trust and distrust are not the opposites of the same concept.They are different concepts and a separate study of government distrust is needed.At first,this text will conduct a study on theories about government distrust.Through combine reading literature and interview,on the basis of clarifying the conceptual relationship between government trust and distrust,to further clarify the concept and influencing factors of government distrust.After that,the interview results of this paper show that one of the main reasons why citizens distrust government is that they feel unfair to what the government says and does.Studies have also shown that when individuals are treated unfairly,they will distrust the unjust actors.Therefore,this paper will use the method of investigation and experiment to further study the influence of unfairness on the trust and mistrust of government,and prove that government’s trust and mistrust are different concepts,and the two are not opposites and symmetrical relations.In this paper,different scenarios were set in the questionnaire to make the participants experience fairness or unfairness,so as to investigate whether the level of government trust and government mistrust of the participants has changed.The results show that the level of government trust and the level of government distrust vary with the intervention of fair experience and unfair experience.On the one hand,it proves that unfair experience will affect government trust and government mistrust;on the other hand,it proves that government trust and government mistrust are not opposite poles in the same concept,they are different concepts.Finally,this paper will reflect on the deficiencies of this research and look into the future research of the government distrust. |
