A Study On The Cultivation Of Civic Literacy In Urban Communities

Since the first "socialist spiritual civilization" was put forward at the fourth plenary session of the eleventh central committee,the construction of spiritual civilization has never stopped in our party and country,and it is now an important position in the overall work.The construction of spiritual civilization aims to cultivate everyone's civic literacy,top-down ideological guidance and bottom-up spiritual support,which fully demonstrates the importance and severity of cultivating civic literacy.Along with the vigorous socialist modernization drive,China has undergone many dramatic transformations,especially from the countryside to urbanization,which has caused the widespread existence of urban communities and the complexity of urban community governance.This complexity stems from the sense of non-attribution and the lack of public morality of community citizens.As the basic organization of spiritual civilization construction,the importance of urban community is self-evident.Therefore,it is urgent to strengthen the cultivation of civic literacy in urban community.This paper takes the Olympic garden community in Taiyuan city as the research object.First,the connotation and characteristics of urban community and citizen literacy are elaborated in detail,trying to combine the two to define the connotation of urban community citizen literacy.Second,using questionnaire survey,interview and other methods,this paper makes an empirical analysis of the citizen literacy situation in Taiyuan Olympic garden community,and finds the problems of the lack of public consciousness,weak community participation consciousness,dilution of cultural consciousness,and degradation of moral consciousness among the residents of the Olympic garden community.Thirdly,in view of the problems existing in the public literacy of the residents of the Olympic Garden community,the factors affecting the cultivation of citizens 'literacy in Olympic community are deeply analyzed from four aspects:the lack of community management,the imperfect construction of the community's overall environment,the lack of community culture and education,and the low level of community's own literacy.Fourth,according to the problems existing in the Olympic Garden community and the factors that affect it,corresponding suggestions are put forward,namely,to solve the problem in a purposeful and targeted way from the four aspects of community management,community environment,community education,and residents'targeted literacy cultivation.In order to improve the civic literacy of the entire community,effectively contribute to the construction of spiritual civilization.The construction of spiritual civilization is not a matter of overnight,and the cultivation of civic literacy in urban communities is still a long way to go.The need to constantly find and target solutions to problems is not only related to community governance,but also has a great relationship with the stable development of society.Our Party and the state have always paid attention to the work of community construction.General Secretary Xi is even more personally aware of this.From time to time,he asks about the coverage of the "community online" and brings the central ideas of the National propaganda and ideological work conference to the community.Thanks to the efforts of the Party and the country,as well as many scholars who are committed to working in the community,today's community construction has greatly improved and improved.This article only hopes to be able to give a little contribution to the cultivation of urban community civic literacy,which will be very positive to me.
