Abstract:The progress of the reform and opening-up policy pushing the modern China on a new stage of transformation. At this stage, China is currently undergoing a massive social transformation, Including the transition of Chinese society from a traditional agricultural society to a modern industrial one、a villatic society to an urbanization society、a partitive open society to a whole open one and a ethical society to a constitutional society. The peasant is the most important factor in social changes, therefore, only letting the peasant to obtain the effective citizenship can enable society to a good transformation and thus driving it to advance forward.The change from peasants to citizen will be a difficult and lengthy process. Cultivating the Peasant’s consciousness of citizenship is the key of peasants converting to the role of modern citizens. This dissertation follows the logic method of "question-analysis-solution", try to propose the measures of cultivate the peasant’s consciousness of citizenship.Thesis is divided into four parts:The first part of the thesis describes the background, the significance of the topics, the literature review as well as the research methods.The second part is the analysis of the peasant’s consciousness of citizenship. In this part the author find out the main influence factors by analyze the achievements and the remaining problems of the peasant’s consciousness of citizenship.The third part is the objective and basic principles of the peasant’s consciousness of citizenship during the social transformation.The fourth part is the measures of the peasant’s consciousness of citizenship, it is the most important part in this thesis. In this section, the author holds that to solve the problem of the peasant’s consciousness of citizenship by improving the government-led training mechanism, expanding the rural market economy, strengthening the basic level democratic political construction, Promoting spiritual civilization and fostering rural folk organization.
