The rapid development of Chinese economy and the realization of Chinese Dream can not be separated from a good surrounding security environment.Japan as China's most important neighbor,Sino-Japanese relations as an extremely important bilateral relationship between China and foreign countries,China's good surrounding security environment is crucial. However, looking back on history,it is not difficult to find that in the more than 20 years since the founding of New China,Sino-Japanese relations have been in an extremely abnormal state for a long time. This abnormal bilateral relationship is closely related to the international environment of the confrontation between the two camps at that time, especially the Japanese foreign policy orientation based on the alliance between Japan and the United States. After the war,in order to realize its strategy of global hegemony, especially in East Asia, the United States established an alliance with Japan through the signing of the Japan-US Security and Safety Treaty.Since then,Japan's foreign policy towards China has been deeply restricted by Japan-U.S.alliance relations, thus delaying the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations. However, with the strategic adjustment of the United States in East Asia, especially in the two Nixon Shocks and the acquiescence of the United States,Japan has accelerated the pace of normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations, and at this point in time the United States alliance has pushed forward the process of normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations. This paper consists of introduction, six chapters of the text and concluding remarks.Introduction part,it mainly explains the origin of the topic, value and significance, ideas and methods, domestic and foreign research status, and so on.The first chapter mainly introduces and expounds the background and essence of the establishment of the alliance between Japan and the United States.Starting with the establishment of Japan-US alliance, this paper discusses the background, sign and substance of the establishment of Japan-US alliance. The author believes that it is precisely because of the establishment of the alliance between Japan and the United States and the establishment ofJapan's diplomatic line based on the alliance between Japan and the United States after the war that Japan has lost its autonomy in diplomacy with China, which is also the main reason for Japan to follow the United States in its policy towards China. The second chapter mainly discusses how the alliance between Japan and the United States hindered the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations between 1951 and 1970.From the perspective of Pro-US Anti-China policy adopted by successive Japanese Cabinet during the Cold War period, this paper focuses on the analysis of the negative impact of the Japan-US alliance on Sino-Japanese relations during this period. The author believes that neither the yoshida cabinet, which pursues the line of Following to the United States;the kishi cabinet, which advocates Coordination to the United States;the ikeda cabinet, which pursues the Equal Partnership between Japan and the United States;the sato cabinet, which strengthens the Japan-US alliance, nor the hatoyama cabinet and the Ishibashi cabinet, which advocate Independent Diplomacy to the U.S.,can break out of the shackles of the skeleton of the Japan-US alliance alliance in dealing with the relationship between China and Japan, its policy towards China is based on the premise of Japan-US alliance. This is the root cause of several ups and downs in Sino-Japanese relations, and the failure to make a qualitative leap, that is,to normalize Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations. The third chapter mainly expounds how the alliance between Japan and the United States promoted the normalization process of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations between 1971 and1978.Starting from the landmark events of the crisis between Japan and the United States during this period,String Trade and two Nixon Shocks, this paper analyzes how the Japanese government, with the consternation of being Betrayed by its allies and the excitement of being Understood and supported by its allies, has resumed diplomatic relations and negotiations with its allies. The author believes that the easing of Sino-US relations during this period, especially the Understanding and support of the United States, has become a key factor to promote the eventual realization of the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations. The fourth chapter mainly evaluates and analyzes the role and causes of Japan-US alliance in the process of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. This paper notonly evaluates the hindrance of the alliance between Japan and the United States in the early stage of the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, but also analyzes its causes. The author believes that the fear of Being Abandoned and Being Involved in the predicament of the alliance and the changes of the international situation in different periods have affected the play and even reversal of its role before and after, that is,the objective factors have pushed the influence of the Japan-US alliance on Sino-Japanese relations from negative to positive. The fifth chapter mainly looks forward to the influence of Japan-US alliance on the future Sino-Japanese relations.Based on the profound influence of the increasingly strengthened alliance between Japan and the United States on Sino-Japanese relations after the end of the Cold War,this paper makes a tentative outlook on the evolution trend of Japan-US alliance and its influence on Sino-Japanese relations in the future.I believe that in the foreseeable future, the alliance will not go to disintegration, but will further strengthen;and its negative impact on Sino-Japanese relations will still be greater than the positive impact. The concluding part mainly puts forward some suggestions on how to weaken the negative influence of Japan-US alliance on Sino-Japanese relations in the future.
