Research On The Hui's Political Participation In The National Assembly

Through "military administration" and "training administration" to achieve"constitutional administration" is Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary line,and the National Assembly is an important part of "returning administration to the people" to implement "constitutional administration".In 1936,the National Government decided to convene the National Assembly.In the rising wave of democracy,the Muslim society made a request to the National Government t to set up representatives of the National Assembly.However,under the influence of the national concept of establishing a "nationality" and vigilance against Japan's invasion of China,the National Government rejected the Hui's request for political participation,and Hui's participation in politics became an outstanding issue.After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,the constitutional agenda that was interrupted for eight years was opened again.In 1946,the "Constitution of the National Assembly" was held.Seventeen representatives of the Muslims who participated in the National Assembly put forward proposals for the participation of the Muslims in the government with the support of the Hui Association and the Muslim society.The provisions of the "Special Nationals with Living Habits" in the Chinese People's Republic of China have achieved preliminary results in the participation of Muslims in politics.However,the vague concept of "special lifestyle habits" does not really solve the identity dilemma of the Muslims in the country and society,but instead makes the Muslims more"marginalized." In the suffrage movement,the national Muslim organization,the Chinese Muslim Association,and Muslim public opinion in various places provided support for the proposals of Muslim representatives outside the venue.At the same time,the Chinese Muslim society also conducted in-depth discussions and summaries on the political participation movement itself,with the help of newspapers,etc.,and on the issues of the Muslim identity and social development that have been debated in modern times,making the Muslim political participation movement a ideological movement with the rise of political and national consciousness.The convening of the"Constitutional Assembly" in 1948 changed the Muslim society's enthusiasm from political enthusiasm to calmness and rationality.The Muslim political participation movement did not bring the Hui people equal rights to participate in politics,but it promoted the Muslim's concept of state,political awareness and nationality.The further development of consciousness has become an important event in the history of the development of modern Hui people and the history of modern Chinese ethnic relations.
