Since the reform and opening up,China's market economy has been developing continuously.In order to obtain higher income,rural residents who used to be mainly engaged in farming flock to big cities to seek job opportunities.At the same time,more and more migrant families choose to live with their children for the convenience of taking care of their children.However,due to the existence of the household registration system,most migrant children can not settle down in the cities,and such children who can not settle down in the cities are called migrant children.However,due to the existence of the household registration system,most of the migrant children cannot settle down in the cities,and these children who cannot settle down in the cities are called migrant children.Migrant children are born in rural areas and grow up in cities.They are shocked by the impact of urban culture during the growth.Such growth experience make them become marginalized.For migrant children,problems of interpersonal skills are main problems rather than living habits.If migrant children don not develop interpersonal skills well,they will have various problems in the process of social integration.This paper takes migrant children in X primary school of Nanjing as research object from the perspective of empowerment and investigates current situation of the migrant children's interpersonal skills through field investigation and questionnaire survey.The collected data was sorted out to describe interpersonal skills in three aspects:emotion,behavior,cognition.It analyzes reasons for disability of interpersonal skills in four aspects:individual,family,school and society.In the practical part,social workers identify migrant children with similar needs through having interviews with those students and school teachers to carry out group activities under the guidance of development mode.At the same time,a student with bad performance in group activities was given case counseling to help her develop interpersonal skills.Finally,it summarizes the result of this study in three aspects:it should pay attention to the cultivation of migrant children's self-confidence.Teachers should focus on migrant children's mood changes Migrant children should grow under the environment of patience and tolerance,society should treat this special group with a tolerant attitude;Migrant children need to learn some interpersonal skills through participating in group activities;Migrant children should strengthen comprehension of interpersonal skills and regulate their own cognition.This paper affirms the value of social work in improving the ability of migrant children and provides some suggestions at the same time.Also,this article can provide some references for those who study on migrant children.
