Relations between China and Russia play an important role in modern international relations.Since 1991,with the constant development and deepening of relations between the two countries, interest in China has been increasingly shown in the Russian media, and the image of China, reflected in the Russian media, has undergone significant changes. The number of publications about China has increased significantly, more has become the content, including political, economic, social, cultural, tourism and other aspects related to China.Studying the changes in China's image in the Russian media, can monitor the development of relations between China and Russia and their dynamics.Research structure:the work includes an introduction, three chapters, conclusion. In the first chapter,a theoretical analysis of the Russian media is carried out:the specifics, features and genres of the Russian press, which form the concept of China, are revealed. The second chapter presents an analysis of the image of China.Articles and texts on various areas of China's life were examined. The third chapter is devoted to the study of the identity of the media discourse of China and Russia. The media occupy an important place in the formation of an information picture about the life of the country in the presentation of a foreign audience. At the same time, the language and style of these media has a certain specificity, which leaves its mark on the media image of the country and requires serious study. In this work, the principle of system analysis was applied.I mainly used the content analysis method, which is generalizing and interpreting the information received. The method of stylistic analysis of the text and the quantitative method were also used. The study revealed that the most common contexts are about China's economic development,a little less about the politics of international relations, followed by contexts about the scientific and technological development of China and the education system, less often they write about the social and cultural life and military policy of China.Modern Russian newspapers emphasize cooperation between China and Russia in various areas. It is also noted that the image of China is often described using phraseological units and metaphors.Basically,China is shown in Russian media as a"powerful ally," "new leader," "Russia's strategic partner," and so on.Articles with a negative connotation are very rare.
