Study On The Social Adaptation Of The Elderly In The Village-to-community

With the continuous progress of urbanization,urban construction needs more and more rural land.Farmers were forced to relocate from the city to urban communities,from farmers to urban citizens.This change is not only a change in identity,but also brings a variety of changes in lifestyle,work style,social interaction and psychology.Facing drastic social changes,farmers need a certain process of social adaptation.The elderly,because of their decreased physical function and older age,have poorer social adaptability than younger people,and are more likely to face more difficulties in social adaptation.Therefore,we need to pay attention to the group of the elderly in the village relocating to the community.Studying the social adaptation status and influencing factors of the elderly in the village relocation community will help the elderly adapt better to urban life,and at the same time provide more experience for future village relocation workThis paper studies the social adaptation of the elderly in the village community by using the interview method and the field observation method.Since community D is a typical village-converted community,which has been relocated for seven years,the author selected community D as the research site and interviewed 20 elderly people.Will study from two aspects,this paper takes a village to the elderly in community social adaptation condition,this part is divided into early in the home village changed the old society to adapt to the situation of village changed after seven years,coping strategies,and the old society to adapt to the current situation of three parts,the author from the way of life,work,social interaction,the in the mind a sense of belonging four aspects in detail;The social adaptation trend and its influencing factors of the elderly in the second village community will explore the promoting and hindering factors affecting the elderly's social adaptation from the four dimensions of individual,family,community and policy.The results of this study are as follows:The social adaptation of the elderly in the village to the community:in the early stage of the village to live,the elderly in the way of life,work,social interaction,psychological attribution are not adapt to the situation;Faced with the discomfort of the new life,the elderly themselves,the community level and the policy level have actively explored ways to cope with it.Among them,the elderly's exploration of working mode and the strict management of the community have effectively promoted the social adaptation of the elderly.There is a certain trend in the social adaptation process of the old people in the village to live in the community.Most of the old people go from "difficult to adapt" to "constantly exploring ways to cope" to"gradually adapt to urbanization".A small number of the old people stay at a certain stage of adaptation due to their age and physical reasons.Factors affecting the social adaptation of the elderly in the village to the community:the social adaptation of the elderly is influenced by individuals,families,communities and social policies.The age of the elderly,the level of education is an important factor.The social adaptation of the elderly is not only influenced by the individual level,but also by the surrounding environment.The accompanying of children,the society of acquaintances,community management,infrastructure construction and the changes in the policy level are all important influencing factors.This paper proposes Suggestions to improve the social adaptation of the elderly in the village-to-community from three aspects:family,community and policy.At the family level,children should pay more attention to and accompany the elderly to provide psychological support for their social adaptation.At the community level,on the one hand,we should improve the infrastructure according to the characteristics of the elderly people who have changed their village to live in the community.On the other hand,we should introduce social work professionals to improve the professionalism of community services.At the policy level,we should take into account the particularity of the elderly group,explore the demolition compensation policy suitable for the elderly farmers,and provide employment support and elderly care services for the elderly.
